Protecting Your Profits Call Planned

Harrisburg –The October 29 "Protecting Your Profits" conference call will start at noon and provide an overview on the current dairy industry trends and markets. The Farm Bill’s Margin Protection Program signup is in full swing and producers have until November 28 to sign up at their local Farm Service Agency.

Alan Zepp, risk management program manager for the Center for Dairy Excellence, who authors the Markets and Management Update, published in Farmshine, will host the call. According to Zepp, these are some of the questions that producers should be asking: “Where will margins go next year? Where will domestic butter and Class IV prices go in 2015? Where will exports go next year?” These questions will be discussed in more detail during the next call.

These conference calls are free but registration is needed to obtain the call information. Contact the Center for Dairy Excellence at 717-346-0849 to register and receive more information about the monthly conference call learning series or by e-mail at info@centerfordairyexcellence.org.
