Franki took home the Grand Champion and Intermediate Champion honors in the
open show at the District 3 Open Invitational Holstein Show held Saturday, June
18, 2016 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, Dover, Ohio. Franki, the winning Senior Three Year Old, was
shown by Plainfield Farms, Don Simpson and Family, Belmont, Ohio. Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve
Intermediate Champion honors went to Sanor Valley Dam Fantasy, shown by Sanor
Valley Holsteins, Bryce Sanor and Family, North Georgetown, Ohio. Fantasy was the second place Senior Three
year Old.
Senior Champion
of the open show was Steel-Lane Luann Joelle, the winning 150,000 Pound Cow
shown by Steel-Lane Holsteins, Nathan Steel and Family, Dover, Ohio. Reserve Senior Champion was Hard-Razor Willow
White, the first place Four Year Old shown by Hardingdale Holsteins, Larry Harding
and Family, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Junior Champion
of the open show was Erbacres Brokaw Daylne-ET the winning Fall Yearling shown
by Plainfield Holsteins, Don Simpson and Family, Belmont, Ohio. Reserve Junior Champion of the open show was
Trealayne Atwood Garland, the Winter Yearling shown by Trealayne Holsteins,
Wayne and Steve Specht and Family, Dover, Ohio.
The Premier
Breeder Banner went to Hardingdale Holsteins, Larry Harding and Family and
Premier Exhibitor was Plainfield Farms, Don Simpson and Family. The Best Bred and Owned banner in the open
show went to Sanor Valley Farms with Sanor Valley Dam Fantasy.
In the junior
show the Grand Champion trophy went to Hard-Razor Willow White, the Four Year
Old and Senior Champion shown by Kari
Harding, New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Reserve Grand Champion and Reserve Senior Champion of the junior show
was J J Beaver Big Time Sara, the Five Year Old shown by Hannah Dye, Beloit,
Ohio.
Intermediate
Champion in the junior show was the Junior Two Year Old, Hardingdale ABS
Viv-Red shown by Ryan Harding, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Reserve Intermediate Champion was the Junior
Three Year Old, Quality-Quest DP Sugarbaby, shown by Hannah Dye, Beloit, Ohio.
Junior Champion
in the junior show was the Spring Yearling, Springhill-OH Attic Trisha, shown
by Emily Deam, Sugarcreek, Ohio. Reserve
Junior Champion was the Winter Calf, Jenneil McCutchen Glitz shown by Victoria
Deam, Sugarcreek, Ohio.
In the junior
showmanship contest the placings were: 1. Emily Deam 2. Colson Starner 3.
Garrett Coffman. In the senior
showmanship the placings were: 1. Victoria Deam 2. Hannah Dye 3. Kari Harding.
Judge for the
show was Chris Lahmers, Marketing Director for COBA/Select from Marysville,
Ohio. Ribbons and trophies were passed
out by Ohio Holstein Queen, Ella Jackson, DeGraff, Ohio. A total of 70 outstanding registered
Holsteins were shown.
