Michigan Spring Foundation Sale Report

The Michigan Spring Foundation Sale was held March 24th in East Lansing, Michigan with Matt Lawrence and Roger Turner in the box. Cowbuyer took care of the online bidding for the sale. The catalog is online here.

On 68 head the official average was $2988.

The high sellers at $15,000 each were Lot 6 and Lot 7,  full Jedi sisters born in December with GTPI of +2805 and +2803 repectively.  The heifers were consigned by Ri-Val-Re and purchased by Abe Light of New York via Cowbuyer.

The second highest price of the day at $10,000 was another heifer consigned by Ri-Val-Re Farms, Lot 8, a September Modesty with a GTPI +2781.  She was purchased by Jamie Crawford of New York via Cowbuyer.com

The high seller from the Spartan Spectacular Sale was Lot S4, a Modesty daughter from Ri-Val-Re with a GTPI +2724. Picture above is the MSU Dairy Club with the high seller with Matt Lawrence, auctioneer and Roger Turner, pedigrees in the box.
 
The second high seller of the Spartan Spectacular Sale was Lot S27 at $3600, a Jersey December calf sired by Joel out of an EX Tequila.  
 
 
 
 
While MSU was out of the NCAA tournament, this Tom Izzo autographed basketball found a home for $350 in the Michigan Junior Holstein Fundraiser auction. 
 
 
 
 
The Michigan Junior Holstein Association sold donated items as a fundraiser. These Adirondack chairs were built by Tyler Burkardt.
