The DAT People's Choice Question of the Week: Your Favorite
If you have milked cows, you had a favorite in your herd. Maybe she wasn't the highest scored or best producer, but she was your favorite. Here is your chance to tell the world about her. Who was the favorite cow in your herd?

I think this is a fluid question. I hope I haven't bred my favorite cow yet. I've got some. Our first cow nominated AA. Whitehead Sexation Molly in 1983. Whitehead Convincer Nicole, best cow anyone could ask for. The only two cows buried in front of the barn. Maybe the Doorman Bailee and Jason have now. Maybe a calf in dam now. Isn't that why we do this?

I used Durham as a young sire on a Mark daughter I had at the time (I know I doubled up on Mark, but I couldn't get her bred and used the young sire Durham). Just got lucky and the Mark had a Durham heifer that lasted 15 years, made nearly 200,000 lbs. of milk and gave me 7 heifer calves, never did any flush work with her, she carried all the calves. She will always be my favorite.
