Milk futures were mostly up and cash dairy prices down except for butter on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Wednesday.
October Class III milk was up $.02 at $18.62. November was unchanged at $18.68. December was up $.02 at $18.06. January was up $.04 at 17.28. The milk futures from February through next September ranged from one cent lower to seven cents higher.
Dry whey was down $.0025 at $.3050 cents per pound. Twenty-one sales were recorded from $.3050 to $.3125.
Forty-pound blocks were down $.0150 at $2.04 per pound. One sale was recorded at that price.
Barrels were down $.0050 at $2.02 per pound. Four sales were recorded at that price.
Grade AA Butter was up $.0225 at $2.1425 per pound. Twenty-one sales were recorded from $2.1150 to $2.1425.
Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1675 per pound. Five sales were recorded from $1.16 to $1.1675.
