Milk futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange ended the week on the upper side of $18 per hundredweight while cash markets were mostly lower.
January Class III milk up four cents at $17.04. February up two cents at $18.00. March eight cents higher at $18.25. April up nine cents at $18.00. May through August contracts a nickel lower to a penny higher.
Dry whey up $0.0050 at $0.3650. Five sales were made at $0.36 and $0.3625.
Blocks down $0.0075 at $1.9950. Nine trades were made ranging from $1.99 to $2.0050.
Barrels down $0.02 at $1.61. Seven trades were made ranging from $1.6075 to $1.6325.
Butter down $0.0075 at $1.86. Two trades were made at $1.8575 and $1.86.
Nonfat dry milk down $0.0025 at $1.2875. One trade was made at that price.
