The Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin says another group of speakers
are set to take part in the online Dairy Signal program this week.
On Tuesday, University of Wisconsin-Extension Specialist Kevin Erb, who serves
as director of the Conservation Professional Training Program, will explain the
best practices for managing manure and key steps to take if a manure spill
occurs.
Dr. Frank Mitloehner Department of Animal Science at the University of
California-Davis will be Wednesday's guest. He will talk about how farmers in
his state have already reduced methane production by 25 percent in order to
meet strict environmental regulations imposed by California lawmakers.
And on Thursday, a producer panel will discuss their experiences in switching
to a calf pasteurizer feeding system and how the new system fits into their
operation.
All episodes are free and available to the public, accessible from
