Despite chilly, muddy spring weather in Northeast Iowa, the Springfest 2011 sale was held on Saturday, April 30 in West Union, Iowa. 80 great cows and heifers sold.

Lot 30 was the high seller of the day
High seller that sold for $8,300 was Lot 30, an August 2010 Bowser from Shottle Miami that was +2173 GTPI, consigned by Hendel Farms. She was purchased by Rock Hill Dairy in Dexter, NM.
Second high seller sold for $5,200 was Lot 25, a Jordan-Red Senior 3-year-old fresh in March, consigned by Douglas Wiley. She was purchased by Travis Ullmer of Seymour, WI.

Lot 42 sold for $5,000, was a Goldwyn Senior 2-year-old consigned by Rick Henderson; she was purchased by Kevin Harbaugh of Guttenburg, IA.
Lot 54 sold for $5,000, she was a 05/09 Mac daughter that traces back to Bstar E Raven, consigned by Markwell Holsteins; she was purchased by James and Michelle Woodard of Winona, MN.
Lot 22 – a first Choice Goldwyn due in June from Linjet Daphne, Reserve Grand Champion at the Iowa State Show 2010 - $4300
Lot 23 – a first Choice Atwood due in September from Spirte Fiesta - $4000
Lot 26 – a Red Debonair Senior calf from Grace-Red – a Red Roxy! - $4000
Lot 31 – a Jet Bowser Senior calf from a Goldwyn full sister to All-American Snow Velvet - $3600
Lot 37 – a Goldwyn March yearling from a Baxter out of Z Delight - $3400
Lot 32 – a Shadow Boxer Senior calf from an Advent - $3300
